Recovery workshop on the theme: “African Initiative for Education for Peace and Development through Religious Dialogue” Organized by the Pan-African Center for Social Prospects (CPPS-IAT) on May 26 and 27, at the Cotonou Convention Center in Benin

Organized in Cotonou from May 26 to 28, 2015, the International Symposium on the launching of the African Initiative for Education for Peace and Development through Inter-religious and Intercultural Dialogue is once again in the news. On May 26 and 27, 2016, a workshop was held at the Cotonou congress center to review the modalities of the official start of the second edition.

FESA International Conference on the Culture of Peace and the 3rd Network Meeting on September 11 and 12, 2015 in Soyo, Angola

The Eduardo dos Santos Foundation (FESA) organized an International Conference on the Culture of Peace on September 11, 2015 in Soyo (Angola). Among the participants were the Minister of Culture, the Secretary of State for External Relations of the Republic of Angola, the Secretary of State for Human Rights and the Secretary of State for the Family and the Advancement of Women , as well as representatives of the Network of Foundations and Research Institutions for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace in Africa, the Youth Network for the Culture of Peace in Africa, civil society, and religious and traditional organizations.

A Pan-African Forum for Innovative Youth Mobilization for the Culture of Peace in Africa

From December 11 to 13, 2014, Libreville hosts the Pan-African Forum on "African Youth and the Challenge of Promoting a Culture of Peace in Africa". Organized jointly by the Omar Bongo Ondimba Foundation and the Gabonese National Commission for UNESCO, in collaboration with UNESCO, this international meeting aims to launch a network of youth organizations working to spread a culture of peace in Africa in through actions in favor of dialogue, tolerance and social inclusion. Young people will be at the forefront of the three-day forum organized by them, for them and with them. One hundred young people representing 45 youth organizations and African national youth councils will be gathered. All regions of the continent will be represented, including the Diaspora. To ensure that young participants have maximum autonomy and initiative, UNESCO made available to them three months ago an online platform which enabled them to take up the stakes of the debate.
